Interesting question really. Those two words are worlds apart but it's weird how, without happy, cancer can thrive. But how can a person be happy when they have cancer? I am fortunate enough to say that I personally don't know. What I do know is how important it is to have the happy feeling in your heart and how it helps when it comes to feeling better.
Up until now I have been focusing on calling these hampers 'cancer hampers'. I have been perplexed as to why they have not been running off the shelves and going to people who need them. Luckily for me, I have a very clear thinking (and level headed) husband who is much better at seeing the forest for the trees than I am.
As a result, I don't do 'cancer hampers' anymore - that is the complete wrong wording and also the wrong message. What I have been trying to provide is happiness! So, from now on I do Happy Hampers. All I want to do is help people send happiness, feel happiness and enjoy happiness where it is hard to find.
These gifts are not just for people with cancer, they are for everyone and anyone feeling down, kicked, sad, sick, broken, lonely, unloved, broken hearted, unappreciated, unrecognised, overlooked. The feelings go on and on and on and unfortunately they are all real for all of us at one time or another. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to help someone not only not feel the negative but help them feel the positive? To be honest, that is what these gifts are for.
So I know I'm a waffler, sorry about that but........ I just want to help make the world a better place for everyone because we are all worth it!!!!
Thanks for reading my waffle,
All my love, Janine
